Dog Walking

If an illness or injury, travel plans, or just a super-busy schedule prevent you from properly exercising your dog, The Placid Pet's team of professional dog walkers can ensure that your dog gets the regular exercise she or he needs, regardless of bad weather.

When you finally arrive home after a long day at the office, just think about how much happier and relaxed your dog would be if they had already expended their excess energy with us! (Consider how much happier you would be, too!)

Our dog walking service includes:

Walk, hike or run for 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes

Exercise in your neighborhood, or

Safe transport to a local park or trail

Introduce or reinforce basic dog training

Dog waste collection and disposal

Rinse and towel dry on rainy days or after muddy hikes

Completed report card or checklist for your review

Temporary and long-term scheduling is available, as is monthly billing for regular clients.

We take dog walking seriously. To maximize your pet's safety and to minimize our liability, Placid Pet staff do not allow client dogs to come in contact with other dogs or people during leashed walks.

The Placid Pet encourages (and subsidizes) continuing education for our dog walkers. Many of the staff members have received training from Barb Kennedy of Whatcom Dog Rehab or from one of the trainers at Tails-a-Wagging.

We keep walking and hiking groups small -- 3 dogs or less. We will not hike with a dog off-leash until we have voice control over that dog.

We also take local laws to heart, and will always have your dog, safely on a leash, in leash-only areas.
